Research notes
Finland's only university of the arts (Academy of Fine Arts, Sibelius Academy, Theatre Academy); several English-taught Master's programmes. Non-EU/EEA pay tuition. Annual budget: indicative, not institution-verified union fee €60 plus €70.70 healthcare if liable. Qualifying external social-security coverage exempts healthcare. Healthcare uses the 2026 rate; the spring 2027 rate is not yet verified.
Tuition policy & mandatory fees
This figure is the mandatory university cost (tuition + compulsory fees), not living costs. Other mandatory fees: Kela healthcare fee is separate from student union membership: €35.35/term in calendar year 2026. Exempt if covered by social security in another EU/EEA country, Switzerland, the UK or EU institutions; citizenship alone is not sufficient. Send Kela the EHIC/GHIC or other required evidence. Doctoral and exchange students are outside this fee scheme. The 2027 rate is not yet verified.
